Whitewater Creek Trail
The Whitewater Creek Trail provides a high quality connection between Kingston town Centre, Kingston Park, residential areas and the high school and sports precinct.
The Whitewater Creek joins the Browns River by the Kingston Golf Course. There is future potential for a trail alongside the creek and Browns River if the golf club was amenable to the concept of a path along their southern boundary.

Section 3 - Kingston Park to Summerleas Road
Aug 2024. Work is underway to construct an underpass so path users no longer have to try to cross busy Summerleas Road.

Dec 2012. A missing section of trail along the creek by Summerleas Rd in Kingston is under construction. This will connect the older section of hotmix path to the new gravel track along the creek constructed as part of the Kingston Bypass project and complete a gap in the trail network.
A link was constructed to Summerleas Road from the old hotmix section of the Whitewater Creek Path in 2013.
Section 5 - Springfarm Road to Maddocks Road
As part of the Springfarm subdivision a riparian reserve alongside the Whitewater Creek was transferred to Council. There are plans to construct a shared path along the Whitewater Creek.

Section 2 - Kingston wetlands to Kingston Park
Aug 2024. Council has extended the path from the Huon Road underpass to the Channel Hwy where there is a bus stop and bike lockers.
Aug 2022. A new underpass has been installed under Huon Hwy to provide a link to the wetlands and Browns River area.
Mar 2022. As part of the Kingston Park development the Whitewater Creek Trail has been widened and upgraded to a concrete all-weather surface. The work has transformed the track into a 3-metre wide, concrete, shared path standard and was funded through the State Government’s Vulnerable Road User Program, the Hobart City Deal and Kingborough Council.
Sept 2011. A short section of concrete path is being constructed on Beach Road between Channel Highway and John Street and will provide an important link to the Kingston shopping centre from the existing Whitewater Creek track.

Section 4 - Summerleas Road to Springfarm Road
As part of the Springfarm subdivision a riparian reserve alongside the Whitewater Creek was transferred to Council. There are plans to construct a shared path along the Whitewater Creek from the section by the bypass to Springfarm Road.
2011. As part of the Kingston Bypass project a section of the Whitewater Creek Track was constructed by DIER from Summerleas Rd but deviates from the creek alignment to follow the new bypass road to the Spring Farm Road overpass.
